Time is the building block of modern civilization. It taught us when to plant crops and when to harvest crops. Without this key piece of knowledge agriculture and a sustained food source is impossible, leaving humanity to stay stagnant in development; it also began the global destruction pushed by human consumption. Time however is not a fixed entity. Time is an explanation of the daily occurrence of the phenomenon we call the “sun” and how it moves across the sky, or rather how the planet rotates creating the illusion the sun is moving when in fact we are the ones in motion. If one’s mind is distracted then time moves faster as one is not present and paying attention to the shifting of shadows or movement of light and mass. If one is present then one can notice each inch of the shadow moving and the illusion of time moves slower. If the theory of relativity states that time moves slower the closer you are to the center of gravity, a clock placed in a plane will tick slightly faster than a clock kept in the lab upon returning to earth. Time is an illusion and depending on how present your mind is will produce a faster or slower illusion. In order for us to observe time, first we had to observe the phenomenon. i.e. The first person to observe time noticed their shadow and then kept track of the correlation between the sun placement and the shadow cast. The next person divided that distance into hours or minutes and then hundreds of years later Einstein produced his theory of relativity. Within the first people observing the phenomenon, constructing a narrative about it and then teaching that narrative to others which begins the construction of the illusion of time. TD;DR: remove all the clocks from your house and you are left with sun rise and sun set. You’ll eat when you’re hungry and sleep when you’re tired. Time is an illusion because time is dependent on the sun and also the earths rotation. The sun being the causation of eruptions of energy and the ball of gas is dependent on the Big Bang. Because the universe is ever expanding, the sun is forever changing, the earths rotation is forever changing and the shadows which we use to observe time will never be the same as they are when you are reading this. So, in 20 years the universe will have expanded, the earth will have done its things and the explanation which we currently use to explain time, physics and quantum physics will no longer be based on anything one can observe in the future. Physics and quantum physics can only use what they observe and what they can mathematically predict based on those observations. By the time they issue a statement on “what is time,” “time” will have already evolved into a completely new phenomenon.
