     In order to hear, you need to be able to listen. In order to listen, you must be silent. In order to be silent, you need to understand. In order to understand, one must mind. In order to mind, one must hear their thoughts as they begin to rise. When one can hear their thoughts rise, one can determine which thoughts is worth hearing, which are worth speaking and ones which are both.
