The story of Adam and Eve states that, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
If we deconstruct this and apply it to the history of our species, beginning with us being “kicked out of the garden,” we would not have known anything except knowledge of good and evil. It’s from that point that humanity began to construct a world on top of the natural world. Villages, cities, towns, states, countries. Rules to govern the people and dictate what is “good” and what is “evil”. We progressed and learned how to grow crops, control plants and animals and mastered nature. Once we mastered nature we began to create a species, we created machines. Machines are a species with no thought. Machines are an extension of our bodies, lights are an extension of our eyes, vehicles are an extension of our feet. We mastered nature just as God created it. We built a “machine species” in our image, now we began to build a global conscience. First we gave that conscience the ability to hear (radio). Then we gave the conscience sight (photo/TV&film). Then we gave that conscience memories (video cameras). Then we connected every human on on this earth via a smart device and linked them together with a global broadband wifi to create one single global conscience. Fully connected. Now in real time we are learning the difference between good and evil play out in the palms of our hands.
- Machine Body
- Software Operating System
- Internet (hive mind/global conscience)
Which one wins? Good or evil? Guess we as a species need to decide where we go from here.
