One can not gain eternal life as we view the word “eternal” as a concrete reality or always being present. One can gain eternal life through their actions, teaching and impacts on others. The past and future are of an illusion, moments which have yet to be created or moments which have arisen, existed, and returned to emptiness. It’s within those moments that one can gain eternal life. As ones teachings, words, actions and prescience can alter the perception and space of the real world. As long as ones teachings and impact are felt, the physical presence does not need to exists. One can gain eternal life in heaven by having positive and rewarding impacts for those around them or one can create hell for those around them. Only the person can decide which they wish to create: joy or suffering. Eternal life as “do you remember? Yeah they were an amazing person” or “ugh, i cant stand them”.
In order for one to understand this one must be present and mindful of their actions at all times. This is not the state in which our species is born or raised to understand. It’s a journey, it’s a rough and lonely one to take. But it’s oh so worth it when one reaches the destination. Every person one encounters on this path is a reflection of oneself, is a mirror to ones future, past or present self. Stay present, stay aware, as everyone who enters your life is meant to teach you about yourself.
