     Religions are a great story to tell the slave class within society. It convinces them that if they just keep working, just keep pushing through the terrible lifestyle and abuse they endure at the hands of those holding power that someone at some time would come and save them. So they push ahead, continue to work, continue to be exploited and abused and they keep hope for a better day. All the while the ruling class sits back and continues to pillage and profit off of the work and labor of the slave class.
