The “real” is, there is no past, because the past is just a memory held within your mind. Another person may hold that same memory, but for them it will be different. You can look at a photo or video of that memory, but when you do you will only recall the memory from your perspective so it’s not a true recording of the moment, it’s an illusion to say. There is no future because the future is a construction of images and memories of your past. You can not imagine a space in the future without basing that imagination on aspects from past memories. The future is an illusion as much as the past is an illusion. Memories and visions kept within your mind. The only “real” is the present. The one you can see, smell, hear, touch and taste. The only time you are really “awake” is when you are in the present and being mindful of the moment you are in.
