Irony is Foucault’s writing, as an employee within a pillar of societal power, how structures of power use knowledge, and fields of study as a way to control society and determine what is and is not marginalized within society. I.e. mental health, alt-sexualities, etc. As a person within the power structure itself, academia, he himself is an instrument of societal power and his teachings and theories have since been used by societal power structures to perpetrate a Social Justice movement within the colleges of America and now pushing it to the high schools of America. One must wonder why societal power structures would want to teach rebellion within its learning institutions. One must wonder why the students who are following these academics, both the left and the right, are not questioning the authorities which are pushing these subjects and theories upon them.
